A Scandinavian Fable

On Friday we received word of a dastardly and disastrous crime that was committed in Norway.  From what we know or have been told, carried out by a lone nutbag by the name of  Anders Behring Breivik.  May I speak for all conservative/libertarians in offering our condolences and prayers for the victims and their families.  Breivik is an unlikely looking mass murderer, a handsome Nordic lad with blond hair and blue eyes.  Not exactly what we picture when we think of homicidal maniacs,  (Charles Manson comes to mind) and normally the media would be perplexed and trying to determine what caused such a good looking young man to go off the deep end.  That is if he were a democrat in this country or a socialist in Europe.  You see within minutes of the news of this disaster breaking, we were told that Breivik was a “right winger”.  Ok, that explains it, he is one of those hateful tea partiers!  Before a single body turned cold, Norwegian TV news declared that Breivik was a conservative Christian and member of a Masonic lodge.  Oh the horror!!!!

Now we all know that nuts can be present on any side of the political spectrum.  (although the left seems to have a corner on that market) and I have no doubts that the right has a few themselves.  I will not attempt to declare in this post that this particular scumbag is not one of them.  (although as more evidence comes to light I reserve the right to in the future)  No, the point of this article to examine the lefts obsession with pinning any and all such tragedies on the right.

It’s one thing to indict a group or movement after careful consideration and gathering of facts after a tragedy like the one that happened in Norway, but that is not how the socialists and their MSM allies operate.  Since they can’t win honest debate on issues they have to resort to other methods to win.  And so they turn to Alinsky.   RULE 10: "If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive." Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

With this in mind, let’s look at some of the reporting and opinion on Friday’s tragic events.

Of course you knew almost immediately this was going to be Sarah Palins fault.  Some folks even had a pool going on how long it would take for that to come out.  And of course our friends at the democratic underground never fail to disappoint.  In fact, they manage to link both Sarah and the Tea Party to this particular crime.  I guess he was inspired by her shooting of innocent wolves in Alaska.

An article in The Atlantic gleefully pulls all their boogymen together on this subject.  Breivik was a right wing, immigration hawk, registered gun owning, Christian George Orwell fan.  Oh and by the way, he was rich!!!!!!  If only he had been forced to redistribute some of that wealth………………

The left has always used this tactic against the right, and not very successfully for the most part.  In the past we were told that when Andrew Joseph Stack III on February 18th 2010 flew his Piper Dakota into the IRS building in Austin Texas it was a direct result of the racist Tea Party and the influence of Sarah Palin.  That story lasted for a few days until the details of his suicide note were reluctantly revealed by the Pravda-like media.  Turns out he was a left wing whack-job who ranted about the bailouts, big business and of course the evil church.  His note ended with this little snippet.
The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.

Doesn’t’ sound much like any of the Tea Partiers I know.  But then, I don’t get out much………

And then  we had the Times Square Bomber.  After his failed attempt to detonate a homemade explosive device at that famous New York City landmark, the mayor of NYC Michael Blooming idiot Bloomberg  gave a press conference in which he blamed “home grown terrorists with a political agenda who don't like the health care bill or something.”   In other words, the Tea Party and Sarah Palin.

And then we have Bill Sparkman, a census worker that was found hanging from a tree in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky with FED scrawled across his bare chest.  Right wing hate!  Anti-government distrust of the census, Tea Party, Sarah Palin was blared from every news program, newspaper and lefty blog for weeks.  That is until we discovered that he actually killed himself in a life insurance fraud plot.

And of course, how can we forget the 2011 Tucson shooting of Gabrielle Giffords and several others including the fatal gunshot received by a beautiful little girl named Christina-Taylor Green, born on Sept 11th 2001.  The left pulled out all the stops on this one.  Determined to finally pin one on Sarah Palin and the Tea Party.  We heard about the vitriol over Obamacare and the hate speech pouring out of the right as being the catalyst that spurred Jared Lee Loughner to take a gun and shoot up a meet and greet that Giffords was hosting.  Of course all of that was false.  Turns out Loughner was a lefty.  *SURPIRSE SURPRISE SURPRISE*

Over the next few weeks, more info on the shooter will come to light.  It may or may not back up the left’s argument that if it weren’t for his right wing views none of this would have happened.  Who knows the motivations of a madman.  But the left would have us believe that everyone who ever attended a Tea Party event or voted Republican is on the verge of picking up an AR-15 and taking out their frustrations on an unsuspecting group of good little democrats.  But more often than not in these times, the real truth is far from narrative that the media and the left (I know, I’m being redundant again)  push after one of these events.  In fact more revelations  are already coming to light, like the fact that his Facebook page was changed after the event, when he was in custody.  I didn’t realize that police in Norway allow you one phone call and one Facebook status update……….
And it is kind of interesting what exactly changed on his Facebook page, with Christian and Conservative being added after the fact.

In the end, with all tragedies that occur, the left keeps going back to old Alinsky rule # 10.  While the Tea Party has only one rule in it’s strategy book.  The truth.

  1. Good one Johnny A. I watched a Michael Moore video yesterday on Norway, which was made several years ago. The country is socialist and the people who live there seem to live in La La Land. A commenter on the video made the remark that Norway's Conservatives are the USA's Liberals.

  3. I still don't truly understand how the traditional media continues to be so biased in the stories they cover and how they cover them, while their viewership consistently drops. You would think that even if they have totally thrown in the towel on journalistic integrity, they would have some self-preservation instinct that would eventually cause them to select and cover stories in an unbiased manor. Yet we continue to see newspapers go out of business and network news programs drop in ratings. Are they really that stupid?
