I Am An Extremist

On Wednesday July 27th the always entertaining and delightful Debbie Wasserman Shultz declared that the GOP sought to impose a “dictatorship” through their actions in the debt ceiling debate.  In her words, “This is almost like a dictatorship.  I know they want to force the outcome that….. their extremist would like to impose”.   I guess she is talking about me……..  That seems to be the new mantra we hear from the left about the Tea Party.  And by left I also mean people like John McCain, who also on Wednesday said,   "The Republican House that failed to raise the debt ceiling would somehow escape all blame. Then Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced-budget amendment and reform entitlements, and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor."  And then followed up with this little gem, "This is the kind of crack political thinking that turned Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell into GOP Senate nominees,".
First of all I would like to personally thank the primary voters of Arizona for giving the nomination for one of their two precious senate seats back to John McCain.  With allies like you all, we don’t need a democrat party.  It seems that Mr. McCain also sees us as extremists based on his comments.  I should also state for the record that none of this is any real surprise to the Tea Party.  We have always known which side of John McCain’s political bread gets buttered.  And I will take this opportunity to tell Mr. McCain that I would have preferred that Arizona had nominated Weird Al Yankovic to him.  So with that in mind Sharron Angle doesn’t seem like such a bad choice.
We have also had the President, Vice President, Ex Speaker of the House (I just love that title) and too many congressmen and senators to mention use the term “extremist” to describe those folks with similar political philosophies as mine.  And at first I took offense to that.  But after some reflection, I think it is time to embrace that handle, just as Col. Oliver North did a few weeks ago.   And these are my reasons why.

If believing that Washington politicians are addicted to spending like a crack whore to rocks of cocaine makes me extreme , Then I am an extremist!

If believing that we should have an amendment to the constitution requiring that Washington not spend more money than it takes in makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that shipping guns across the border and into the hands of drug cartels in an effort to make a point backing tougher gun control laws is criminal and someone should be held accountable for it makes me extreme,  Then I am an extremist!

If believing that the first amendment of the constitution provides freedom of religion as stated and not freedom from religion as some believe makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that man made global warming is a hoax created to drive up the costs of carbon based fuels so that no one can afford them in order to promote a “green” agenda makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that our elected officials first priority is to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America” like it says in the oath of office every one of them took makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!
If believing that ObamaCare is unconstitutional and should be repealed NOW makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that people wanting to enter this country should do so legally and those who didn’t should be sent home makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that my right to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed” makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!
If believing that the Department of Energy should reduce our dependence on foreign oil like the reason for the formation of that agency says or be abolished makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that there should be no public sector trade unions makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that the fruits of my labors should be mine and mine alone and not be taken from me by my government at the point of a gun makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!
If believing that wealth does more good in the private sector where it is generated than in the public sector where it is squandered makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that the best way to help someone down on their luck is to teach them to fish rather than give them a fish makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that the government should be accountable to the people and not the other way around makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that the role of the military is to protect this nation not provide a platform for gay social experimentation makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!
If believing that government is more often the problem and not the solution makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!

If believing that Barack Hussein Obama and most of the current democrat party are socialists at best and communists at worst makes me extreme, Then I am an extremist!
With all these reasons in mind, I have become aware that we have something in common with some other extremists in the past, they were named Washington, Jefferson, Hamilton, Adams and Franklin.
I think we are in a pretty good club!  Let’s show them just how extreme we can be!!!!!!
