Johnny Alamo's Patriot of the Day

apologize for the hiatus on POTD posts.  I was out of the country for a few weeks and have just now gotten myself organized to the point that we can begin this feature again.  I was at a bit of a loss trying to pick out a suitable patriot to highlight for the return of this post.  Thankfully Robin Grace provided a top notch candidate.  Gunny John McClain not only served his country faithfully during his tenure with the USMC.  But has now taken pen (or rather keyboard) in hand to serve in another way.  His posts are eloquent and spot on about the challenges that this country faces and the reasons for them.

From one of his recent posts:

"The fact is, nothing eliminates the "clash of principle versus personal desire", because principle is right because it is from above Man's power to control, and exists before and without man, and for man to follow the Truth, he must concede to principle, and everything otherwise is denying principle, and thus denying the truth."

It renews my faith in the future of this country knowing that men like the Gunny are in the trenches with us.

Semper fi!
